1. Good reliability and maintainability. The conveying chain should be resistant to special environments such as abrasion and high temperature.
2. Good abrasion resistance. When the conveyor chain works, the number of sprocket teeth is generally small, and the angle of inflection between the chain links is large. The chain wears and elongates quickly, which limits the service life.
3. Light weight and high strength. The weight of a conveyor chain is usually proportional to the load on the chain. An overweight chain will increase the tension in the chain, which will limit the conveying capacity and be uneconomical.
4. The damping of sliding or rolling should be small. Conveying chains usually slide on the track or the rollers support rolling forward, or the resistance to rolling is small, which can improve efficiency and life.
5. Strong impact resistance. Conveyors with uneven loads, or conveyors at high speeds, are liable to produce impact loads in quite a number of situations, and the conveyor chain should have strong impact resistance.
