After proper heat treatment, conveyor chain could be more durable. Here we would like to inroduce the common solutions for heat treatment of conveyor chains.
1. Heat treatment:
In heat treatment equipment, various auxiliary media are used at high temperature to improve the structure of parts and improve the performance of various items.
2. Carburizing:
The parts are heated to a certain temperature and kept for a certain period of time in the heat treatment equipment, and then a carbon-containing medium is introduced to infiltrate the surface of the parts to improve the hardness and wear resistance of the chain.
3. Quenching:
After the parts are heated to a certain temperature in the heat treatment equipment, they are kept for a certain period of time, and then cooled in different media as required to increase the hardness of the parts.
4. Tempering:
The quenched parts are heated at a certain temperature in the heat treatment equipment, and kept for a certain period of time before cooling. After the parts are tempered, the quenching hardness can be reduced, the quenching stress can be eliminated, and the toughness can be improved.
5. Blackening: Adopting the principle of polymer organic polymerization, using the heat of tempering during the heat treatment process to form a black film. After blackening, the workpiece has gloss, corrosion resistance, and strong rust resistance; it reduces labor intensity and improves the production environment.
6. Blue: After heating the parts to a certain temperature, they are cooled by a chemical aqueous solution and saponified to make the surface of the parts blue. The blue-treated chain has a beautiful appearance and has the effect of preventing rust. The disadvantage is that these chemical solutions The environment causes a lot of pollution.
7. Shot peening: A type of surface treatment. Steel shots of a certain diameter are sprayed on the surface of the parts as needed to form uniform small pits to improve the surface fatigue strength of the chain.
8. Phosphating: The parts are immersed in a phosphating solution at a certain temperature to form a phosphate layer on the surface of the parts, which can make the surface of the parts appear black or gray, improve the beauty of the chain and achieve the purpose of corrosion protection. These phosphating liquids can be recycled and have relatively little environmental pollution.
9. Nickel plating: The method of electroplating or electroless nickel plating is used to form a nickel-plated layer on the surface of the part. The nickel-plated layer can not only look beautiful in the chain, but also can prevent corrosion. Nickel-plated chains are generally used in open air.
10. Galvanizing: The method of electroplating or chemical galvanizing is used to form a galvanized layer on the surface of the part. The galvanized layer can not only beautiful the chain, but also can prevent corrosion. Galvanized chains are generally suitable for open air. 11. Oiling: After the chain is oiled, it can prevent the chain from rusting, and it is more shiny. 12. Grease: After the chain is greased, it can prevent the chain from rusting, and it is more shiny. (If it is inconvenient to oil during maintenance, use grease)
13. Stainless steel: No need to oil and grease, clean and hygienic.
